Chelsea :)

hey guys...sorry haven't written on here in a while
Although we have had a few problems this week with the sound editing it is all beginning to sort itself out and we are doing as much as we can without the picture to edit the sound to. Therefore once Ben gets back we will already have a rough edit of the sound but will just need to synch it up.
I think our filming went really well and we managed to stay on schedule and film everything when we wanted to. Like Liam said the wire wasn't working for the boom mic meaning i had to record with the marantx but this seemed to work just as well and we have the same recordings which should synch with the images.
I think editing again went well last week and we worked hard together to get the picture editing done all in that week meaning we could focus on the sound this week. The variety of shots we got meant that we could match a lot of the shots together for good action matches. There was only one instance where this didn't work so well which is the drug sequence, however we have managed to make this work with fast cuts. I think this works better as i don't think that focusing on the preparation of the drugs is something that would have helped the film to look anti-drugs.
Overall i think we're working well as a group and have done throughout. :)

Liam, editing problems

After last week we edited all picture on Ben's laptop and intended to bring that picture onto a comp at uni to link it up with sound in perfect syncronisation. Last week on the friday we burnt the dvd of picture but it was today when trying to upload that dvd and it said it had nothing on it problems began.
I have contacted Malcolm for advice. Without the picture we can't synk the sound and must do our best to get voice over, ambiance and everything we can do done.

With Ben and laptop with video file on not in the country it is hard though i do wish him a nice time and under no circumstance mean this to sound bitter. It is bad luck.
Lets just do best we can this week. Tomorrow when my heads clearer i may be able to think of something.
Will bring tapes to re capture incase all else fails

Hi, whats up everyone no ones adding to this.

Ok where was i,
Up to now, last week we edited picture, week before holiday was filming.
Filming we lost monday and started on Tuesday, That week was very hard within smaller location than planned but i feel we all worked hard. We all chipped in equally or props and Ben acted amazingly. At end of week when we did film the outdoor scenes we were very profeshional even when we filmed in that unhigenic hell hole.
Ben kudos, i know when i had to play drug dealer down there I felt sick, hiding that every time camera was on you could have been no easy feet.

Emma, finding the props of the needles and the paperwork you did i can only say was amazing work by you hun.
The picture editing was hard due to slight continuity errors such as a light turned on in one shot and off in another leaving awequid changes in lighting which to avoid would make action sporatic
With theme of this sometimes it is permisable,

I think the titling was fun and the still shot which transolves time as Ben paces in room is undesputably my favourite. Chelsea was very commited on set to her job on sound and both Daniel and Emma worked really hard with Camera,

It is regretable we couldn't link sound with camera in recording but the wire we were given to link mike to the camera failed so we had to do it to the marantz.

We seemed to get alot done and fast getting more than enough footage and cutaways, The use of different angles and treatments on shots was awesome and this has been a very enjoyable experience. After easter holidays we need to buckle down and finish edit. Preferable get edit of picture done in first week. That way adding sound will get our full attention in the final week. Thats all i can think of right now, Happy Easter all

Hi everyone, Liam here,
Really sorry i haven't wrote in last fortnight but been unable to find a comp that'd let me onto this. Hope your all having a nice easter.
Filming we completed after first day into week of post production due to us missing first day of production.

I personally think it went well and we used our time and resources well.
Kudos to Emma on her amazing locating of props and use of her place. Will add more later, take care all

Well weve got all the filming done, big well done guys!

We can start looking at editing after the Easter holiday although i know Ben said about doing some editing at home in which case i hope it goes well :) Hope everyone has a good Easter holiday and that there project books are going good...
